Did you see this primetime television report from Australia this week?

It has been reported that Underground Coal Gasification has irreversibly polluted a 320 sq/km area of rural Queensland. This image shows what this would look like for sites being considered in the Forth.
It is worth realising too that since the red circle takes in the water, then the whole Forth is included in that pollution. The coastline, ecology and communities along it.

This tiny UCG trial has likely caused the biggest environmental disaster in Australia’s history with government inspectors having to be hospitalised after being exposed to toxic gas just by collecting samples from the UCG disaster zone!
It has not been covered by the UK media.
Please share these news reports and make people aware of it’s significance to the Scottish Government’s ommission of UCG in the moratorium and the risk to the Firth of Forth and public health.
Please contact your MSPs to demand UCG is included in the Scottish Government moratorium, citing this news report as your cause for concern. Ask them why they are not making their constituents aware of this risk. It is easy to write to them using this website https://www.
